Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 11, 2026
This policy describes what information CordCutter Supply ("we," "us") collects when you use cordcuttersupply.com, how we use and share it, and how we protect it. The short version: we collect only what's needed to sell and ship you hardware, we use no advertising or analytics trackers, and we never sell your information.
1. Information we collect
Information you provide. When you place an order, you provide your name, email address, phone number, and shipping address on our payment processor Stripe's secure checkout page, along with your payment details. We receive everything except your payment details, which go directly to Stripe and never touch our systems. If you email us, we receive whatever you include in your message.
Information collected automatically. Like nearly all websites, our infrastructure processes technical data with each visit — IP address, browser type, pages requested, and timestamps — used for security (such as blocking abusive traffic) and troubleshooting. Our operational logs are deleted automatically within 30 days.
Cookies. We do not set advertising or analytics cookies, and we use no third-party trackers. Stripe sets strictly necessary cookies on its checkout page for security and fraud prevention (Stripe privacy policy).
2. How we use your information
- To process your order and payment and to ship your purchase.
- To send you order-related messages (such as your receipt, and shipping or tracking updates).
- To respond when you contact us for support, returns, or questions.
- To prevent fraud and abuse and to secure the Site.
- To keep records we are legally required to keep (such as for taxes).
We do not use your information for advertising, we do not send marketing emails unless you explicitly ask for them, and we do not sell, rent, or trade your information — to anyone, ever.
3. Who we share information with, and how
We share information only with the service providers needed to operate the store, only the minimum each needs:
- Stripe — payment processing. Receives the contact, shipping, and payment details you enter at checkout.
- Cloudflare — hosts and secures the Site and processes web requests to serve it.
- Pushover — delivers the order notification to us (order summary and shipping details only) so we can pack and ship.
- Shipping carriers (e.g., USPS) — receive your name and address to deliver your order.
All disclosures are made electronically over encrypted (TLS/HTTPS) connections, solely for the purposes above. We may also disclose information if required by law or legal process, to protect our rights or others' safety, or as part of a business transfer (in which case this policy would continue to apply to your information).
4. How we protect your information
- Every connection to the Site and to our service providers is encrypted with TLS (HTTPS), enforced with HSTS.
- Payment details are collected and processed exclusively by Stripe, a PCI-DSS Level 1 certified processor — the highest level of payment security certification. Card data never touches our systems.
- Order records live in access-controlled systems; credentials and API keys are stored encrypted and follow least-privilege access.
- Operational logs are deleted automatically within 30 days, and we practice data minimization — we simply don't collect what we don't need.
No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we design the store so that the most sensitive data (your payment details) is never in our hands at all.
5. Data retention
Order and customer records are retained as long as needed to fulfill your order, handle returns and warranty issues, and meet bookkeeping and tax obligations. Technical logs are deleted within 30 days.
6. Your rights and choices
You can request a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it (subject to records we're legally required to keep) by emailing support@cordcuttersupply.com. We respond to all verified requests, and we honor the privacy rights provided by your state's law (such as the California Consumer Privacy Act for California residents). Because we do not sell or share your information for advertising, there is nothing to opt out of — but if you ask, we'll confirm that in writing.
7. Do Not Track
We don't track visitors across other websites, so there is nothing for a "Do Not Track" browser signal to disable — the Site behaves the same either way.
8. Children's privacy
The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
9. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we'll post the new version here and update the "Last updated" date. Material changes will be noted prominently on the Site.
